Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to bring your attention to an open postdoctoral position in
theoretical astro-plasma physics at the University of Otago in New Zealand.

The project involves studying the dynamics of kinetic plasmas at high-beta,
relevant to disks, the ICM, the solar wind, and magnetic-field generation.
We wish to understand how large-scale plasma motions interact with
micro-scale kinetic instabilities to govern the plasma's motions and
transport properties. The successful candidate will have a PhD in physics
or a related field, an interest in space and astro-physics, and, ideally,
some experience with numerical simulations. The position is for two years,
with a flexible start date around Sep 2019.
