Dear Colleagues,

Can you please inform early career scientists about this opportunity?

-------------------------------------------------------------

The Department of Physics at Columbia University seeks to appoint an
assistant professor in the area of experimental or observational
gravitational wave astrophysics, or a related field starting on July 1,
2019. This is a broad search in which all areas of experimental
gravitational-wave science, including instrumentation, observations,
multimessenger and data analysis, will be considered. It is expected
that the candidate will develop a vigorous independent research program,
continuing the long Columbia record of forefront accomplishment in
science. Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in Physics or a
related field and have demonstrated the ability to do pioneering
research as well as the promise of excellence in teaching and mentoring
at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
