Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral position available on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project, Dept of Physics & Astronomy, University of Manchester. As part of the UoM SKA Group you will be involved in the specification, design, development, and verification of software to achieve the Non-imaging processing requirements for the real-time and off-line analysis of pulsar and fast transient data. This will include software both searching for new systems as well as the post-processing of these data.

This post is available from 1st October 2019 for 18 months with a possible extension depending on further funding. You should have a PhD (by the start date) in Astronomy or Computer Science.Significant experience in the development of non-imaging signal processing software systems is needed. You should also be well-organised and self-motivated with excellent oral and communication skills. A strong publication record in internationally peer-reviewed journals is required.
