Dear all,

As every year, The Paris Observatory solicits applications for
post-doctoral fellowships. Successful applicants will be initially
appointed for one year, and may be reappointed for another year on the
basis of satisfactory performance. Fellowships are scheduled to
start around fall 2020, but an earlier start may be considered.

The call can be foud here:
https://www.obspm.fr/IMG/pdf/ao_post-docs_2020.pdf

Although competitive, this programme provides good opportunities to join
the Nançay-Orléans pulsar group (multi-frequency observations, radio
astronomy, high precision timing, GW analysis) or the teams at the LUTH
(Laboratoire Univers et Théories) of the Paris Observatory at Meudon,
specialized in related fields (i.e., pulsar emission processes,
Gravitation theories, neutron star equations of state,
high energy astrophysics with HESS and/or CTA).

As detailed in the call, applicants should construct their research
projects around some of the priority scientific topics of the
Paris Observatory. For pulsars, this includes:
- new generation radio telescopes
- Interstellar medium
- High-energy astrophysics and compact objects
- Fundamental physics and gravitational waves

All interested applicants are encouraged to contact the following people for
more information:

Orléans-Nançay staff (high precision timing, radio instrumentation, GW
analysis, multi-frequency observations):
- Ismaël Cognard (icognard at cnrs-orleans.fr)
- Jean-Mathias Griessmeier (jean-mathias.griessmeier at cnrs-orleans.fr)
- Lucas Guillemot (lucas.guillemot at cnrs-orleans.fr)
- Gilles Theureau (Gilles.theureau at obs-nancay.fr)
- Antoine Petiteau (petiteau at apc.univ-paris7.fr)

Paris Observatory at Meudon staff:
- Fabrice Mottez (Pulsar emission physics, fabrice.mottez at obspm.fr)
- Eric Gourgoulhon (Gravitation theories, eric.gourgoulhon at obspm.fr)
- Micaela Oertel (Neutron star equations of state, micaela.oertel at obspm.fr)
- Hélène Sol (high-energy astrophysics, HESS, CTA, helene.sol at obspm.fr)

Cheers

Gilles
