Dear colleagues,
We are currently advertising for two post-doctoral positions in pulsars at the University of Manchester. The positions are jointly advertised, however we are particularly looking to fill the following roles:
* A researcher in precision pulsar timing to work primarily with Dr. Michael Keith on pulsar timing arrays, including the EPTA, MeerTime and IPTA.
* A researcher in observational pulsar astronomy to work primarily with Dr. Patrick Weltevrede on timing and emission studies of the larger pulsar population using MeerKAT and the Lovell Telescope.
The positions are advertised together and all applicants will be considered for both roles. Both positions will have opportunity to work on observational programmes with the Lovell Telescope and with the MeerTime project on MeerKAT.
If you are interested, please get in touch for more details. The advertisement, including a full position description and application instructions can be found here:
https://www.jobs.manchester.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=18596
The closing date for applications is 2nd March 2020.
Please also pass this along to anyone you think might be interested.
Thanks,
Mike & Patrick
