Dear all,
Apologies for the mass mailing.
We are currently advertising for two post-doctoral positions linked with CSIRO in Australia:
https://jobs.mq.edu.au/en/job/507539/csiro-research-plus-postdoctoral-fellowship-in-radio-astronomy: this is a postdoc position funded by CSIRO, but the successful applicant will be employed by Macquarie University (which is within walking distance to CSIRO). The position is related to studying pulsar timing array data sets to explore issues relating to solar system planetary ephemerides and the position of the barycentre.
https://jobs.csiro.au/job/Sydney%2C-NSW-CSIRO-Postdoctoral-Fellowship-in-MLAI-FSP-Finding-the-Unknown-in-Radio-Astronomy-Data-Sets_/648809500/ is a postdoc position based completely within CSIRO (which means that you must have no more than 3 years, or part time equivalent, of postdoctoral research experience to be eligible for this particular role). This position is based around applying machine-learning/AI techniques to Parkes and ASKAP data sets in the search for pulsars, FRBs and the “unknown unknowns”.
If you are interested, please get in touch with me for more details and please also pass this along to anyone you think might be interested.
Best regards,
George
