Hi everyone,

Apologies if you receive this email more than once.

Green Bank Observatory has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher,
with an application deadline of March 5.  Applications can be submitted
at http://jobs.jobvite.com/nrao/job/oP3tefwj

The position is open to all scientific backgrounds, but there are a
couple of opportunities that may be of special interest to pulsar
astronomers.

1) Scientific commissioning of the GBT's new 0.7-4 GHz ultra-wideband
receiver is currently planned for early to mid-2022.  The receiver is
optimized for high-precision pulsar timing.  Funding has been provided
in-part by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

2) GBO is beginning an NSF-funded effort to enable wide-band, real-time
cyclic spectroscopy, first as an expert-user mode, and later as a
fully-supported mode for all observers.  This project is still in it's
early phases and will be carried out over the next few years.

I encourage anyone with interest in these or other areas of pulsar
astronomy to apply.  I'm happy to answer any questions about these
projects or about the position more generally (rlynch at nrao.edu).  Please
feel free to pass this email along to others that may be interested.

Thanks,
Ryan
