The RAS has launched a new journal focused on Techniques and Instruments.  Topics include:

  *
Artificial intelligence and machine-learning;
  *
advanced statistical methods;
  *
the applications of high-performance computing and the development of new technologies; and
  *
Instrumentation, mission concepts and electronic capabilities.

Unlike MNRAS submission is not free, but on the other hand it is fully open access.  So there are author publication charges, although they will be waived for many authors.

So if you have a likely publication, I encourage you to consider RASTI.

This is a gold open access journal. The APC is £1250.
