Dear all,
ASTRON is excited to advertise the Bell Burnell Fellowship, named in
honour, and with support of, Dame Susan Jocelyn Bell Burnell – the
discoverer of pulsars, pioneer in the field of radio astronomy, and
champion of equitable representation, acknowledgement and achievement in
astronomy. The Bell Burnell Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to help
scientists build upon emerging strong careers as independent researchers
and future science leaders. We currently have one position available,
with a competitive salary comparable to other radio astronomy
fellowships and (at least) a 3-year contract.
More information about the fellowship and application procedure is
available here (and on the ASTRON website):
https://aas.org/jobregister/ad/783d4e4a
The ASTRON pulsar program is described here:
https://science.astron.nl/science-astron/high-energy-astrophysics/
Applications are due 6 November 2026.
If you or your colleagues have any questions, please do not hesitate to
contact any of the staff at ASTRON. Please feel free to forward this
email to other colleagues and collaborations of interest.
Best,
Joeri
