<div>On behalf of the organisers, I'd like to provide a brief update and reminder about the 2020 IPTA science meeting (June 15-19), and student workshop and hack week (June 9-12) that will be held in Australia. Planning and organization is in full swing and
we will send out a formal announcement of the meetings shortly, when we launch the meeting website and open registration.</div>

<div><b>Student Workshop and Hack Week: June 9-12 in Melbourne, Victoria (Swinburne University). </b> Daniel Reardon (Swinburne) is chairing the Scientific Organizing Committee for the student workshop. We will also be holding a hack week parallel to the student
workshop at Swinburne, following on from the successful hack weeks held in Paris, Pasadena, and New York. Please note both the student workshop and hack week will be Tuesday-Friday (Monday is a public holiday in Melbourne). <br>

<div><b>Science Meeting: June 15-19 in Hobart, Tasmania (University of Tasmania). </b> Maura McLaughlin (WVU) is chairing the Scientific Organizing Committee. Specific scientific themes for the meeting will shared shortly. The meeting will be held during
the popular arts and cultural festival in Hobart (DarkMofo), so we will strongly encourage hotel bookings well in advance of the meeting. (We have a block booking at a nearby hotel, so if people are especially keen on booking now, I'm happy to provide that
information). </div>

<div>We anticipate only modest registration fees for the meetings: approximately $500 AUD for Science Meeting, with a reduced rate for students, and $100 AUD for the student workshop. </div>
