We are pleased to announce that there will be a special session
(as part of Commission J: Radio Astronomy) focused on the
CHIME/FRB Outriggers project at the upcoming URSI National Radio
Science Meeting (URSI-NRSM), which will be held at the University
of Colorado, Boulder, from January 9th to 13th, 2024.<br>
<br>
The CHIME/FRB Outrigger project aims to expand the capabilities of
the CHIME/FRB instrument, by enabling FRBs discovered by CHIME/FRB
to be localized to an ultimate precision of ~50 milliarcseconds
through VLBI, using 3 new Outrigger telescopes located at
transcontinental distances across North America.<br>

We (Aaron Pearlman & Pranav Sanghavi, co-chairs of the
CHIME/FRB Outriggers special session) cordially invite you to
submit either an abstract or a summary paper on any of the
following topics that may be relevant to the CHIME/FRB Outrigger
project:<br>

<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Algorithms (e.g.,
VLBI techniques)</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Multiwavelength
Follow-up</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Astrophysical or
Cosmological Scientific Applications</font><br>
</li>
</ul>
<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">This venue will provide an
opportunity to present your relevant work to an audience that
specializes in, and is eager to learn about, instrumentation. This
special session will consist of 10 talks, with each presentation
scheduled for 15 minutes and an additional 5 minutes for Q&A.
There will be no poster sessions.<br>

Please note that there will be various other scientific sessions
that may be of interest to many members of the radio astronomy

interested members from the scientific community to join us at
URSI-NRSM 2024.<br>

Authors may submit one-page abstracts or two-page summary papers,
both of which may be archived in IEEE Xplore and thus indexed. The
formatting guidelines and templates for both types of submission

<br>
Students are especially encouraged to consider submitting entries
to the Ernest K. Smith USNC-URSI Student Paper Competition.
Monetary prizes are expected to be awarded for the top 3 papers.<br>

The deadline for all abstracts, summaries, and student paper
contest entries is at <b>11:59 pm Wednesday, September 13, 2023
(Hawaii time).</b><br>
