[Psrfits] script that checks PSRFITS files?

Hi All,

At GBO we think we have found some possible large-scale corruption of a
bunch of archival pulsar data.  We are trying to figure out exactly what
is corrupted, and what we have backups of.

For the former, I was going to write some kind of fairly simple python
script (likely using the fitsio module, which is really fast) that
checked key parameters of fold-mode and search-mode PSRFITS data to see
if it was OK.

Has anyone written anything like this already?  If so, can I use it as a
starting point?

Thanks,

Scott

PS: I do know about fitsverify, which is super useful.  But I was hoping
for something a little bit more specific (for instance, checking to see
if SUBINT row times made sense).
