[Everyone] Pre-registration poll for the 2023 IPTA Science Meeting and Student Workshop

Dear colleagues,

Many thanks to everyone who has already responded to the pre-registration form for the 2023 IPTA Science Meeting. This is a friendly reminder that we’ll close the form this Friday, so please consider filling the poll before the end of the week if you’re interested in attending.

Note the pre-registration poll is non-binding, and is not strictly required to register for the meeting. Nonetheless, if you are interested in attending we would appreciate your input as it will assist us with determining logistical requirements.
Also note if you are unsure if you’re able to attend the meeting or student week in-person, you can answer “Possibly in-person (otherwise virtual)” to the questions asking about your attendance.

Finally, a reminder if you are having trouble accessing with the form feel free to email myself or Ryan notifying of whether you’re interested in attending the science meeting or student workshop, either virtually or in-person.

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce that the 2023 IPTA Science Meeting will be held in the tropical coastal town of Port Douglas, Queensland from 19-23 June 2023. The student workshop will take place from 13-16 June 2023 and will be held at the CSIRO Marsfield office in Sydney, NSW.
To assist us with organising these events, please complete this short pre-registration poll linked below:

We request that you complete this poll by the end of next week (February 3).

For anyone who is unable to access the poll, please reply to me directly via email (andrew.zic at csiro.au<mailto:andrew.zic at csiro.au>) with your intention to attend the Science Meeting or Student Workshop in-person or virtually.

Visas
Please note that an invitation letter may be required to obtain a visa to enter Australia. It is best to start the process of obtaining a visa early, so if you would like to get that process started please email me directly or indicate on the pre-registration form.

Busy/hack week activities
We are proposing that “busy”/”hack” days for IPTA-related work may be arranged in parallel to the Student Workshop at the CSIRO Marsfield site. If you are interested in proposing a hack week-style activity to occur alongside the student workshop, please outline your ideas in the form.
