Session Title: Time Domain Radio Astronomy: From Galactic Pulsars to Cosmological Bursts

Symposium Dates: 15-22 August 2026

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstracts for the session on Time Domain Radio Astronomy at the upcoming URSI GASS 2026.

The "dynamic sky" is currently one of the most vibrant frontiers in astrophysics. As we push the boundaries of sensitivity and temporal resolution, we are uncovering a vast landscape of transients that challenge our fundamental understanding of physics. This session aims to bridge the gap between Galactic and extragalactic phenomena, exploring the physics of coherent emission and the evolution of the transient parameter space.

Session Scope

We welcome submissions covering the full spectrum of the fast-radio-transient landscape, including but not limited to:

Galactic Sources: Pulsars, Rotating Radio Transients (RRATs), magnetars, giant pulses, and the emerging class of long-period radio transients (LPTs).

Extragalactic & Cosmological Phenomena: Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) and their role as probes of ionization, density, and magnetic properties of plasma on a cosmological scale.

Emission Physics: Studies on high brightness temperatures, extreme states of matter, and the boundary between coherent and incoherent radio emission regimes.

The Parameter Space: Efforts to fill existing gaps in the luminosity-pulse timescale diagram, particularly at ultra-short and ultra-long timescales.

Technological Innovations: Advanced data processing pipelines, AI-driven discovery, and the design of next-generation surveys to overcome current observational bottlenecks.

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts should highlight original research, technological developments, or significant survey results.
