[IPTA Clock] Update on IPTA clock project

Hi all,

 Just to say that the PPTA clock paper has now been accepted and is available on astro-ph: 2012arXiv1208.3560H.  I'd appreciate your comments and discussion on that paper.

It's now time to start planning the IPTA clock project in more detail.   To start this, KJ Lee, Mike Keith and I have just had a lunch together in Beijing.  Our initial plan is that Mike will produce some simulated data sets (starting with some simple data sets and finishing with some realistic simulations of IPTA data) that include errors in the simulated time standard.  Mike will then make these data sets available to anyone on this email distribution list who wishes to try out their algorithm for extracting the clock errors.

Please respond to this email if you have suggestions for the simulations and let us know if you have an algorithm that you'd like to try out.   We expect that they will be available within a month or so.

I'm also interested in the expected IPTA data sets that will be ready on a time scale of ~3 months from now.  On that time scale it's unlikely that the PPTA will have updated our data sets and so we'd provide data for 20 pulsars spanning from ~1996 to Mar 2011.  These are the data already available on the IPTA wiki.  Could somebody from the EPTA and Nanograv provide us with a similar update for your data sets?
